Today American brides-to-be are still registering for toasters, but with store computer software it is easier to eliminate duplicates unless of course you own two homes. Toasters have gone retro, come in painted metal and are no longer hidden with a toaster cover but are proudly displayed on kitchen granite countertops because they look good. What is good for glossy magazine spreads showing off cool looking toasters are good for not only brides-to-be, but also are even purchased as holiday gifts too.

So are toasters an investment? I’d say so since a toaster can last a long time. So how does one choose a toaster? Looks? Price? All of the above? Some choose by product brand, others choose by size; two slices or four slices, heavy-duty commercial models or just simple units that – well just toast bread. All toasters do that, but what makes one toaster toast better over other toaster brands may come down simply to looks. So the market is heating up to get your money and that is why manufacturers have re-designed the toaster for the modern day bride. And for all of us who are already married that’s good news for the rest of us.
