The Pop Culture For Vampires
October 25, 2011admin No Comments »Pop culture is varying. It is dependent on a certain place and time. With the birth of Twilight Saga, pop culture started to revolve around— none other than, vampires. There is now an overexposure of these mythical creatures in our society nowadays. It is easy to spot shows that feature this creature; hence vampires do not just live among books because they are now available on TV screens and movie houses.
The trend over vampire’s obsession is not new though. The culture for these monsters continued to haunt from centuries ago to present. It all started with the Dracula of Bram Stoker and evolved into the works of Stepheni Meyer. Rather than fading down through time, these mystical creatures proves that they are eternal if the basis would be their continuous existence on pop culture.
Vampires are actually mythical creatures that suck human blood. Yes, they may be terrifying but the irony is that even the most harmless character like the Count von Count of the Sesame Street is presented with fangs coupled with his thunderous cackles.
Do you ever wonder what is it with vampires that seem to sip our attention? What draws our attention to these vampires is the recent trend of making this creature fall in love with ordinary humans. Stories that present their struggles are everywhere. These stories would make up our recent pop culture. Our obsession of these creatures may be unnatural but acceptable. People are suckers for tragic stories. They celebrate behind somebody’s misery. We are also intrigues by our fear of the unknown. No doubt, we love to hear stories about vampires and other mystical creatures.
